About UAE Live Jobs
UAE Live Jobs is an independent guide site for people who work in the United Arab Emirates or plan to. We explain the practical side in plain English: your rights on pay, leave and notice; the steps from job offer to work visa and Emirates ID; how to write a CV that UAE recruiters read; and how to spot a fake job offer before it costs you money.
Why the site exists
Most people looking for work in the UAE face the same questions: How is overtime calculated? What happens to my visa if I resign? Is this agency allowed to charge me? The answers are spread across government portals, legal texts and forum threads that contradict each other. We bring them together in one place, based on the official sources, with worked examples and the exact steps to take.
What changed in 2026
When the site started in 2025, it also shared job openings and walk-in interview notices. Since October 2026 we no longer post vacancies. Job adverts go out of date within days, so we now focus on guides that stay useful for longer, keep them up to date, and point readers to employers’ own career pages and official portals for live vacancies.
How we check a guide
- Rules, fees and deadlines are checked against the official source first: MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA Dubai, the u.ae government portal, or Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 and its regulations.
- Guides link to the pages they rely on, and recently revised guides show the date they were checked.
- When a rule changes, we update the guide. For example, after ICP replaced the 2026 airspace overstay-fine waiver with a 30-day grace period, we updated our overstay fine guide and related visa guides.
- Where official sources disagree, we say so instead of picking the convenient answer, and tell you how to confirm your own case.
- Guides that have been substantially revised show the date of their latest update. Our Editorial Policy explains how guides are researched, checked and corrected.
Who reads it
Most readers are in the UAE, followed by India and Pakistan. That’s why many guides also cover the steps that start in the home country, such as the Wafid (GAMCA) medical and certificate attestation.
What you’ll find here
- Rights & Pay: overtime, leave, gratuity, notice periods, salary deductions and complaints.
- Visas & Documents: work and family visas, Emirates ID, medical tests, attestation and overstay fines.
- CV & Job Search: CVs, cover letters, emails, interviews and follow-ups.
- Careers & Salaries: salaries, government vs private careers and graduate programmes.
- Stay Safe: job scams, recruitment fees and checking an agency’s licence.
- Free tools: a gratuity and final settlement calculator and a CV maker. Both run in your browser, and nothing you type into them is sent to us.
Who runs it
UAE Live Jobs is run by Farooq Malik, its founder and editor, who researches and writes the guides and decides what gets updated.
What we are not
We are not a recruitment agency and we are not affiliated with any employer or government authority. We don’t hire people, process visas or charge job seekers anything. If anyone claiming to represent UAE Live Jobs asks you for money, it’s a scam. Please report it to us.
